How Does Laser Hair Removal Work?

Bloom Aesthetics & Wellness uses brand new 810 Diode lasers for hair removal. These are the most pain-free lasers available, and the laser energy produced by the 810 Diode is non-ablative, meaning it will not injure the skin surface or connective tissues during treatment.

Because body hair grows in three different stages, it takes multiple sessions in order to clear selected areas, but at Bloom Aesthetics & Wellness in Alpharetta, GA, our treatment packages can keep your skin silky and smooth for good.

About 20% of body hair is in the anagen (active growth) stage at any given time. During the hair removal treatment, the hair follicles that are in the anagen stage will be destroyed. The hair growth cycle is every 6-8 weeks for the body, and 4-6 weeks for the face. We suggest to our clients to schedule treatments 6-8 weeks apart to achieve the best permanent hair reduction results. It will take 6-8 treatments (on average) for permanent removal of up to 95% of the unwanted hair.

Say Hello to Smooth Skin

If you struggle with removing unwanted hair, you’re not alone. Many find it difficult to keep up with the time-consuming, ineffective hair removal treatments that they’ve performed their whole lives in the hopes of maintaining a hairless body. But hair removal doesn’t need to be so challenging.

At Bloom Aesthetics & Wellness, we’ve mastered the process of laser hair removal and stand behind it as one of the best ways to achieve permanent hair reduction.

“Laser Hair Removal” is a collective term for the utilization lasers and intense pulsed light for the purpose of permanent hair reduction. Hair removal lasers selectively deliver laser light to dark hairs. This light causes the dark hairs to become heated; this heat travels down the hair shaft into the hair follicle and disrupts the hair follicle, preventing future hair growth. Since gray/white, blonde and red hairs have little or no dark melanin pigment; laser hair removal is not considered effective in treating these hair colors.

The Laser Hair Removal Procedure

The 810 Diode of the Rohrer Aesthetics Laser is an amazingly effective hair removal system that uses non-invasive technology to safely and quickly eliminate unwanted hair anywhere on your body. According to the experts, it’s the longest lasting solution available.

Laser hair removal non-invasively treats hundreds of hair follicles simultaneously. So in a few minutes, laser hair removal can effectively treat an area that might take over an hour with electrolysis.

What Areas Can I Treat?

Both men and women seek laser hair removal services to have unwanted hair removed. Laser hair removal is commonly done on: lip, chin, underarm, bikini line, ear lobe, shoulders, back, abdomen, buttocks, face, neck, chest, legs, toes, arms and hands.

Are There Any Side Effects?

Common side effects seen after laser hair removal treatments include temporary discomfort, redness, and swelling in the treatment area; loss of freckles or lightening of moles in the treatment area; and temporary skin lightening or darkening in the treatment area in some tanned or darker skin types.
