The skeleton is the underlying structure that supports all other tissues of the body; muscle, tendon, ligament, cartilage, collagen and skin. If the skeleton is out of balance, the integrity of every overlying tissue will be compromised as well. A spine that is out of balance can cause muscles to sag, ligaments to droop and the skin itself to sag as well.
For example, if there is a nerve in the spine that is being impinged, and that nerve supplies the muscles of the face, the muscles served by that nerve will sag due to a lack of nerve impulse, and the skin over those muscles in the face will sag as well.
This goes for every muscle in the body, which is why it’s important to insure that the spinal column is in balance, and all of the vertebrae are in their proper place. This is a huge factor in anti-aging, and one that is overlooked by most health providers in the anti-aging field.
